Bringing Up from the Comments

Dog ID #227773 in cage 544 at MAS.

Reader mikken has made a generous offer toward getting Mr. Kissyface out of MAS:

I will donate $150 to any rescue group that pulls Mr. Kissyface.

This is in addition to any financial assistance that YesBiscuit provides to help get him out.

In memory of Charlie.

Thank you mikken.  Charlie would be happy if he could know that another dog may get a chance at a lifetime of love today.  Every dog deserves that chance.

  1. Very awesome of you Mikken! Thank you for this generous offer in Charlie’s name. A great way to honor Charlie. Rescue group – pls take him/her up on it and rescue Mr. Kissyface.

  2. Can you post him of FB. The network is so huge, I can help spread the word. I’d get him in a second, but I’m in Western Colorado. However, I’m hooked into rescues all over the country.

  3. I tried to put a hold on Kissyface. Tracy Dunlap told me Kissyface #227773 was killed a few minutes ago.

  4. I am beyond sad. Right now I feel so totally disheartened – no matter how hard we try, no matter what we do, they only know to kill, kill, kill!
RIP Kissyface – at least you will never have to know cruelty and indifference again.

  5. Same offer, for each of the Puddinheads. $150 for each dog to any rescue group who will pull them, $300 for the pair. In the name of all that is holy, let’s get someone out of there this Tuesday.

  6. $100 to the rescue who pulls a cat or kitten, too. $150 for a momma and litter. Please – someone has to NOT die on Tuesday.

  7. Thank you mikken and db for your kind and generous offers. Same previous offer from me stands as well – I will use the funds readers have donated to offer financial assistance and will use the blog to post the pet(s) if any help is needed finding a permanent home.

  8. Anyone taking me up on my offer for the Puddinheads? Rescue groups? Pull both Puddinheads from MAS and I will donate $300 to your group.

I fear time is running out for them…

    1. Thank you mikken. Since we had heard they were going to be moved to the adoption cages, I hope that is what has happened. They haven’t been in their stray cage for several days now. I don’t see them listed online but of course, that is not exactly unusual considering it’s MAS. I hope someone will tell us if they are in the adoption cages now or what their status is. It’s so difficult trying to help pets when getting basic information is a cat and mouse game.

      1. Oh, I do hope so. They deserve their shot at homes.

I will gladly extend the offer to any other two dogs in the stray hold area.
