On Sunday, September 9, I will be on Animal Wise Radio for a half-hour, starting around 1:20 pm Eastern to talk about the recent developments at the Memphis pound and the larger issue of shelter transparency. Listen in, if you are free.
I am also planning to address the Kershaw Co Council during its meeting on Tuesday, September 11. If you are a Kershaw Co resident, please consider attending. I will stay outside the council chambers after the public comments portion of the meeting in order to talk with anyone interested in learning more about ending the killing of shelter pets.
Hopefully someone in that state will listen and end the suffering of animals in this “shelter”.
I’ve bookmarked the site and wrote a huge note.. I’ll do my best to listen in..
will be listening!
me too
Can hardly wait!
Wish I could listen but I have a terrible Internet connection and it has download limits. Hope many people listen.
Sharing the council meeting news in SC! Go get ’em, Shirley!
You did good! I am proud to be a reader of your blog.
Well done! I actually got to listen to it!
I also listened..it was great to put a voice to the written words. Shirley …you sound tiny. I would have liked it if you could have talked longer and been more detailed on topics
hahaha – I am not at all tiny. But bless you for thinking that.
Thank you, THANK YOU for such an informative interview/broadcast, Dear Shirley!!!!!
Thanks for listening. The issue of shelter transparency is so huge, it was challenging to try and talk about it in such a short period of time. Heck, it’s hard for me to be focused and brief in talking about anything.
Thank you for speaking. I thought it was pretty neat that the No-Kill guy was speaking right after you.
I do wish they’d let you talk more. Maybe next time, you can get a bigger block.
I agree
This is what Animal Wise Radio posted on FB. I don’t claim to be all that knowledgeable about podcasts but you techno-savvy kids with your fancy gadgets can probably make sense of it:
Cheering you on from afar for your appearance at the meeting today. I hope they listen. I hope you can reach them. I hope they “get” that you can help them look really good as they do the right thing by saving lives and money at the same time. Can’t wait to read the after report on how it went and just know many of us will be with you in spirit.
Thanks very much Brie. I’ll be using all of my 5 minutes.
Can you practice not taking a breath while speaking ? In order to get more words out :)
South Carolinians support you ! Can’t wait for updates.
haha – if I have to cough or sneeze, I’m asking for 3 extra seconds to be added to the clock.
hummm.. that just might work…
You rock, Shirley! Thanks for continuing to be the voice for the animals and keeping us informed on what is going on. The more education, the better!
