  1. I’m gonna guess …first glance maybe a lemur or bush baby (can’t tell size from the photo). There are also small arborial opossums (in AU) as well – the relatively bare, prehensile-ish tail speaks to me of an opossum sp.

  2. His name is Lemuel, and he really wishes the paparazzi would stop following him everywhere he goes! The camera flashes startle all the insects he’s trying to sneak up on. If this keeps up, he’s going to starve to death. “Hey, any of you happen to have a few moths you want to send my way? It’s not like YOU need ’em, right?”

All good guesses. This is a ringtailed possum. I chose this animal because I did not know that possums could look like this. I am used to this variety:

    From this animal’s Wiki page:

The common ringtail possum ranges on the east coast of Australia, as well as Tasmania and a part of southwestern Australia.[5] They generally live in temperate and tropical environments and are rare in drier environments. Ringtail possums prefer forests of dense brush, particularly eucalyptus forests.[5] The common ringtail possum and its relatives occupy a range of niches similar to those of lemurs, monkeys, squirrels, and bushbabies in similar forests on other continents.[6]
