unless the bone is ‘too’ old – and contaminated with botulism – we used to see a lot of it here in the south when hog farmers would give the carcasses to their packs of hunting dogs – it’s an anerobic bacteria and isn’t generally found in animal tissue exposed to the air – but the bone is a different story — just sayin – if your dogs bury a RMB, and return to it —

Our dogs don’t bury anything edible – too busy eating.
