A Lick of History

I don’t know if this is the first instance of breed specific legislation in the U. S. but I would think it qualifies as an early adopter of the practice.

They certainly knew all the possible different names for the “breed” they wanted to target. It’s similar to the modern day bans on “pitbulls” and all the variations that go with that moniker.
