The 1907 book, Our Domestic Animals, their Habits, Intelligence and Usefulness by Gos de Voogt, Charles William Burkett, and Katharine Prescott Wormeley, contains many photos and a few illustrations of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, rabbits and other domesticated animals.
