More Vintage Dog Sketches

The first group of sketches in this post appear as small insets within a nineteenth century book (full source info below). The title page states the illustrations were “designed by George G. White” and “engraved by Louderback and Hoffman.”

Marie H. Guise Newcomb was an animal artist who lived from 1865-1895. She did a number of excellent clumber sketches for an article in Outing magazine in 1889:
