Opportunity to Help Cats at MAS

I received a note from Meows and BowWows letting me know about a couple kittehs in need of homes at MAS.  If you are interested in adopting either of these cats, please visit the shelter.  Alternatively, if you’d like to help short-term by providing a foster home for one of the cats, Meows and BowWows will pull the kitteh of your choice, pay expenses and ultimately find a permanent home for the pet.  All you have to do is provide loving care for a temporary houseguest whose life you’ll happen to be saving in doing so.  Both cats’ photos are posted below with the info provided by Villy from Meows and BowWows.  Thank you Villy for sharing these cats!

This is Miss Kitty. She is at MAS (ID #225978). She is 8 years old Siamese. She was surrendered by her owners so she is available for adoption asap. Our rescue is full to the brim. I sent out an e-mail to other rescue and got responses that they are also full. Please consider adopting this kitty. If you can't adopt but would like to foster let me know.
This is Miss Prissy. She is currently at MAS (ID #225979). She is a 6 month old Siamese mix. She was surrendered by her owners so she is available for adoption asap. Our rescue is full to the brim. 1. What a contrast these two photos are. You go from Devil Kitty in Jail to Angel Cat from Above. I love Siamese and Siamese mixes since they are usually talkative.

  2. I will foster Miss Prissy if you need me to. We are down to 3 orphaned kittens we pulled from MAS a few weeks ago (plus our pets, so it’s a zoo anyway lol). Please email me if you still need help with her. Thanks!

  3. Arghhh–anyone who knows me knows my weakness for all cats (and especially for those of the Oriental persuasion!) I’m too far away (Massachusetts) to help with foster BUT if there is a reputable boarding kennel nearby in Memphis, I can buy these kitties a few days of time in order to get out of MAS while better arrangements (e.g., ones that don’t involve euthanasia) are made. I’ll send my contact info to Meows and BowWows.

  4. Thank you so much for posting these kitties here. Meows & BowWows Animal Rescue has put them on “Do Not Kill” notice. Thanks to this post we have already found a potential foster for Miss Prissy. We will definitely rescue these kitties, but we may need to board them for a few days at our vet’s office (which by the way has a lovely boarding facility for cats which makes MAS seem like the dungeon that it is :-(
We will appreciate any donations that can help us cover the expenses with the boarding. Both of these kitties are already spayed, so that part is covered. If you would like to help with funds for these kitties we can set up a chip in on our FB page once we actually pull the kitties from MAS.

    1. Yay! Does your vet boarding area have an angel ward and a devil ward? Cos I bet I know which one is going to go where. Let us know if it turns out you have to board the devil – send us a link to chip-in for helping with boarding costs.

  5. Have you contacted a Siamese specific rescue? They might be able to take them.

  6. Both cats are just gorgeous and I do hope they both get adopted/foster/rescued fast. Can someone in the area post them on a few of the free ad sites to draw more people to them and the others here?
