These pets may be waiting for an owner to redeem them or possibly in need of a new owner. The circumstances surrounding the reason each of these dogs is at MAS are unknown but two things I can say for certain:
- They are not listed online nor housed in the small area accessible by the public for adoption.
- MAS kills 77% of the pets in its care.
If you would like to inquire as to whether a dog here is available for adoption/rescue, please e-mail the shelter directly and attach the photo to your e-mail.

Ranger is coming in here tomorrow afternoon. He is currently in Bowling Green KY. I have three photos, but don’t know how to load them here. Shirley, as for the above dogs, PLEASE SOMEONE STEP UP FOR THEM! We are overfull now.
That underweight dog looks like a cruelty/neglect case for sure. I’m certain that the ACOs went after the owner on this one and that the pup will be vetted and restored to health so s/he can be adopted into a wonderful home . . .
You don’t think so?
Oh of course the pup will be restored and rehomed! Not to worry…oh wait. We’re still in Memphis, Toto.
