  1. No Kill Colorado continues pushing to the goal to save 100 dogs from the streets of Antonito Colorado. We have recruited some wonderful volunteers for transport. Teller County Regional Animal Shelter has stepped up to take in the first transport of at least 10 dogs. See more at https://www.facebook.com/AnimalRescueConejosCounty

Still working on the low cost spay/neuter day for local residents of Antonito sometime in December.

Also still asking to get the local shelter management in Fremont Count Canon City to recognize the volunteers they threw out are their best chance at getting the shelter back on line and in the good graces of the local community. Not accepting offers of FREE labor from dozens of caring individuals. https://www.facebook.com/stoptheHSFC
So far the shelter has improved due to the volunteers letting the state regulators what was going on. 11 violations and three failed inspections this year forced the change. The shelter’s regressive management continue to blame volunteers for being disruptive.

  2. Found your blog through a horse rescue friend’s facebook. Can i post the facebook link to a startup horse sanctuary? or is that not allowed?

  3. Please check out my blog weekly where I crosspost animals in urgent situations mostly deathrow shelters. I’ve been doing this for about 5 years. Many cats and dogs have been rescued and adopted or helped from these posts.

  4. Someone, besides me, suggested an adoption event tomorrow for Black Friday, but those in charge told the folks that they would rather give their hard-working staff time off. They say they want to save lives and increase adoptions, but don’t follow through. Good for UPAWS and those animals who are now in homes. Thanks for walking the walk.
