A Baltimore police officer has been charged with animal cruelty after allegedly beating his girlfriend’s 7 month old puppy to death and texting her a photo of her pet’s dead body.  Can we dip this guy in red paint to alert non-psychopaths he may come across in life that they are in imminent danger?  (Thanks Clarice.)

We had animals abused at the Bisbee (Arizona) Animal Shelter and the county attorney was unable to prosecute due to lack of evidence. The city closed the shelter “for repairs” and are hiring a new shelter manager, but much remains the same and volunteer groups have backed away from the shelter due to the city’s neglect.
