I know, I know( from your token marine biologist)… it’s a batfish . VERY cool and weird fishes… live down on the bottom, in fairly deep water usually. Once you have seen one you won’t forget it… The only other fish with really really red lips is the treefish (a CA native found in the kelp forest). And, they actually WALK on those pectoral and anal fins. Not too much swimming for this guy…
