  3. August 27th… do I know what day it is? Of course not! But I know a flying squirrel when I see one. Or else, maybe I don’t. Bada Bing!


    This is a Japanese dwarf flying squirrel. From Wiki:

    The Japanese dwarf flying squirrel (Pteromys momonga; Japanese: ニホンモモンガ; Hepburn: Nihon momonga) is one of two species of Old World flying squirrels.
    Japanese dwarf flying squirrels make their nests in the cavities of trees,or at the cross point between branches and tree trunks. These squirrels also tend to line their nests with mosses and lichens.
