Mr. Wade, author of the above breed description, was generous in offering his many strong opinions on dogs to the kennel papers of the day. Below, he writes more about Russian wolfhounds, a breed still in their infancy in the west. His letter was reprinted in The Fanciers’ Journal, April 26, 1890:
