Former Memphis ACO Indicted

Despite stumbling blocks in the judicial system, former Memphis ACO Demetria Hogan has officially been indicted on multiple charges in connection with the disappearance of Kapone and the cruel killing of Max:

Former Memphis Animal Services employee, Demetria Hogan, has been indicted on four counts of official misconduct, one count of forgery, one count of theft of property and one count of cruelty to animals.

[…]

Official misconduct, forgery, and theft of property between $500.00 and $1,000.00 are all class E Felonies. Upon conviction, each count carries a sentence range from one year to six years.  Cruelty to Animals is a Class A Misdemeanor, with a sentence of up to eleven months and 29 days.

I am disappointed that she is facing only a misdemeanor cruelty charge for what she did to Max.  It’s not justice but hopefully if found guilty, she will receive the maximum punishments on the felony charges since she has a criminal record.

  1. Well Halla Freakin Lulia! It’s not perfect, but if she goes to jail she’ll more than likely meet alot of people who really love animals and won’t like what she did.

  2. About freakin time! I hope she gets the max sentence so we don’t have to look at her ugly mug any longer!!

  3. Oh wow! Though the wheels of justice grind slowly they do grind. Hopefully she will get the max sentence. It is a very small price to pay for killing Max and for giving Kapone out of state and then not telling what she did with him.

Now we can only hope that the three idiots get their just due punishments soon. And very important is the continued “pruning” of the cruel staff at MAS.

  4. Since she is a product of the second-chance program run by the city for the felons, we can only hope (post jail-time that we are hoping she receives) there’s not a THIRD-chance program that will make her a candidate to again work in Memphis Animal Services where she never should have been in the first place!

  5. isn,t she a former convicted felon? she has now violated her parole she will have to finish her sentence out plus the new charges against her.

  6. if she goes back in she can never apply for parole again, chances are she,s looking at being behind prison walls for a very long time!!!!!

  7. Thank God. Best news Ive heard in a while.
Maybe this will make the other abusers there think twice beforehand, that their actions CAN catch up with them. Prob. not, but you never know.

  8. Her stupidity will put her exactly where she belongs & she does not deserve to be in a free society where she is obviously too criminal minded to be free.

She deserves a hard bite from Kapone too, but he might catch something from her.

  9. Today in court, June 10, 2013, Demetria Hogan had charges dismissed & wasn’t fined or put behind bars as she should be and wasn’t even berated by the judge. That “animal”, and I use that term generously, belongs in a cage. Next thing you’ll see is the be-och getting her job reinstated with back pay. it’s Memphis – what else can I say.
