No Love for Mr. Kissyface

June 16, 2011July 17, 2025 ~ YesBiscuit ~ 17 Comments

It's always a welcome sight to see shots of a dog being handled lovingly on the MAS webcams.  Unfortunately for the brown kissy dog, that was then, this is now.  Here is how the formerly waggy dog was treated yesterday at MAS while his cage was being cleaned: Is this dog in need of help? … Continue reading No Love for Mr. Kissyface

Do these puppies look medically hopeless or vicious to you?

June 15, 2011June 15, 2011 ~ YesBiscuit ~ 20 Comments

As with everything else on the blog, this post represents my opinion. Since it's so difficult to get any information from MAS, my opinion is usually all I have to go on. Readers should continue to make their own judgments.

Rogue Pudding

June 15, 2011July 17, 2025 ~ YesBiscuit ~ 21 Comments

Although I've received no response from Matt Pepper regarding my request for info on these dogs, I have gotten a lot of screengrabs and since time is of the essence, I'm going to post what I think I might know based upon the webcams: There appear to be 2 similar looking dogs in the run … Continue reading Rogue Pudding

Another Waggy Dog in the Super Sekrit Stray Area at MAS

June 14, 2011July 17, 2025 ~ YesBiscuit ~ 13 Comments

While I'm waiting to hear back from MAS on the puddinheads (I think there are at least 2 dogs in that run), I found yet another dog in the stray area I like.  I see a tongue there - maybe this dog is wanting someone to kiss! Added: I got a bunch more screengrabs of … Continue reading Another Waggy Dog in the Super Sekrit Stray Area at MAS

Yellow. Bellied.

Some of you might recall that MAS was a no show at last month's MAS Advisory Board meeting.  Since then, there have been some changes to the board: Current Members of Memphis Animal Services (MAS) Advisory Board are: Jeanne Chancellor Jen Clay John R. Cox Jackie Johns Don Siemer Stephen Tower And the new advisory … Continue reading Yellow. Bellied.

Rogue Adoption Agency Listing

June 13, 2011June 13, 2011 ~ YesBiscuit ~ 34 Comments

This dog is living in the stray area at MAS which means adopters are prohibited from seeing her.  (Note:  I do not know the gender of this dog.)  She is not listed online to my knowledge so no one outside the shelter knows she is there. Maybe an owner is looking for her. Or maybe … Continue reading Rogue Adoption Agency Listing

We interrupt the Memphis misery for some good news.

June 12, 2011July 17, 2025 ~ YesBiscuit ~ 8 Comments

Foster Mom Ona reports that Wilbur, one of Charlotte's kittens, was adopted on Saturday. Thank you Meows and BowWows! And good news bit #2:  Waggy Brown has been adopted, per this comment.  Yay! You know what's awesome?  Reporting on Memphis pets who were adopted instead of killed.  More, please.

Reader Kim, who put together the "Scars of your Love" video, has come up with another one for the pets at MAS:

UPDATED: MAS: Marketing Fail
